This shot is connected to two other posts. One is on the Emergence Myth that I wrote about. This is the same house, and it is just around the corner from the image of the ladder on the roof. There is also a connection to the image posted in the Wall Shadows; see if you can see the connection! Hint: in this shot, Zora, the German Shepard is in the window.
A variation of a previous post done on Jerome Glass.
Every week, a group of us from around the world post our shadow shots over at Hey Harriet. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted!
You can also view all Shadow Shot postings I've done by scrolling all the way down and on the left side you will see an archive of labels for my posts. Look for Shadow Shot Sunday and click on that link for an "all you can view" buffet of shadow shots!

Wonderful shadows! I especially love that last one, with the knobby texture of the wires showing so clearly.
I followed your link to the emergence myth - very interesting! I'm familiar with the kiva, but I did not know that ladders were common decorative items in the southwest. Very cool.
Very artistique as you always do.
Love the rusty mood of your shots and the sunny sun gives you the crispy texture. FAB shot!

LOL...you know me and textures!! As the Raven is to bling, I am to textures!
Southwestern in all it's glory, the epitome of native style...I just love the look...and the desert!
Love both of these - the first one is just plain fun...the second..we want that wire....wow - just terrific!
Oh I see the connection from the other post! The bear has since morphed into a German Shepard! The top shot is awesome! I of course like the second one too! "All you can view" buffet of shadow shots...hehe. I like that!
PS - I like your idea about a shadow photo book through blurb. Problem is though, all the web shadow images that have been posted are low res images and wouldn't print so well. I'd have to contact everybody for their original images for printing purposes. And if anything like me, many people wouldn't even have their original high res files saved. But I do like the idea!
so much texture and pattern in these shots,

the shadow it created is fantastic.

These remind me of wild animals & Africa & unexplored places. Funny how thoughts just pop into your mind in an instant. Love 'em!

I love both shots--especially the curly Q designs of the second. Very artistic!
