The Wisdom of the Ancients
An ancient opihi shell (limpet shell) sitting atop the sea cliffs of Mokio Preserve. Basking in the last light of the day-that bewitching, golden hour (which is more like a few fleeting moments). If you are ever on Molokai between the months of Feb-Apr, be sure to sign up for a tour. The work being done there to restore the land to what it was is astounding.
Join us as a group of us (yes-there are many of us!) from around the world post our shadow shots over at Shadow Shot Sunday 2. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted!

That is a beautiful shell - in New England, the ubiquitous clam shell is a mass of gray but this is delicate and detailed. Very nice!
Great shot of the Orphi Shell.
That glowing shell is absolutely precious, as are the shadows.
