Or, it doesn't get any better than this.
You get to define what, "this" is.
Speaking of perfection, such is the late afternoon light today bathing the ever majestic Sandia Mountain in a shimmering gold. A small group of us-the planning committee for the Rio Grande Youth Art Show (an annual show that showcases the art of our youth in Sandoval County) has found a roosting home so to speak, to conduct our planning meetings. It's a year long process and no sooner than one is done, we are back at it again to plan the next one. It is truly a labor of love as we are all volunteers and we all put in lots of hours towards this project. That's where I was when I took this shot in the Rio Grande Lounge at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa. What a great view to enjoy during a meeting, don't you think?
Join us as a group of us (yes-there are many of us!) from around the world post our shadow shots over at Shadow Shot Sunday 2. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted!

How can anyone pay attention in a meeting with a lovely golden backdrop as Sandia! Kids need art to expand their minds and horizons, so art classes and shows are wonderful. Our artist friend Rich does that in local schools and the students always respond positively.
Your students will work well and enjoy the fruits of their labor immensely at the show :)
it is a great view! Cheers!
what a marvelous capture of this- at the perfect time of goldenness!
so is this hotel in the city in which you live? when I was a teenager, my grandma took my cousin and me on a trip out west. since my uncle and his wife lived in Albuquerque, we drove up Sandia Mountain, it was heart-stopping ascent for me.
Oh, I really like the quote, Paula! It made me smile. And I also very much like your view out the window with the frames in shadow.
A beautiful view through the window, lovely location, excellent picture
Soft shadows framed in a striking way.
Love the framed mountain as the evening shadows fall.
Do you get to look at the Sandias out your window every day? If so, how I envy you!
Cobbled Shadows
Beautiful view out of the window.
How intense the dark frame of the window makes this spectacular view.
