"Serenity Now!" © Paula Scott Molokai Girl Studio |
Our daily lives is cluttered with noise. Not just audible noise, but visual noise. Too much information noise. And we wonder why feeling serene is not something that we feel we can attain. But, the trick is (and it is no secret) is to surrender to silence.
"we need to find God,
and He cannot be found in noise and restlessness.
God is the friend of silence.
see how nature -
trees, flowers, grass-
grows in silence;
see the stars, the moon and the sun,
how they move in silence...
we need silence to be able to touch souls"
~Mother Teresa
We need silence to be serene.

Lovely shadow shot for the day, Paula!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!! Enjoy!
We need to find the serenity of the one true God, yet unlike the message of the sculpture - we seldom look inward to the stress releasing peace of prayer. She looks relaxed after her inward silence and reflection. Mother Teresa offers sage advice...
So peaceful. The light is so gentle as it falls.
lovely post and image- thank you.
Amen.
Some people think they need to be busy, have little stress because they feel alive when all the time something is going on...
Not me.
I know how to be. No stress.
Enjoy life!

This beautiful statue embodies serenity. Gorgeous, soft play of light and shadow round it.
I had never thought about visual "noise," before, but you're right!
Visual noise....like traffic?!! Tons of cars on the freeways is definitely BOTH kinds of noise.
Love the statue photo by the way. It just 'screams' silence. Seriously...calming effect.
Surrendering to silence, I love that idea!
