Greetings From My Parallell Universes

Something different today: images from what I consider to be both my homes-Moloka'i and New Mexico.

This is a beach on Moloka'i-about 2 miles long. One of these days, I'll do the entire walk. I usually don't have enough time (or energy) to walk the entire beach as it would add up to a 4 mile hike in the sand (round trip)! What you see here is just the start of the beach-my back is to the rest of it.

A historic old church in Corrales called San Ysidro. It was a Catholic church that got retired (probably because it was too small and too 'old'). The thick walls are made of adobe and every several years, the community re-muds it. Now, it is used for fine arts and craft shows and music performances (the acoustics are perfect in there).

"Everything that we see is a shadow cast by that which we do not see." (Martin Luther King)

Every week, a group of us from around the world post our shadow shots over at Shadow Shot Sunday 2. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted! You can view all of my 2011 Shadow Shot Sunday images on my Flickr account.

Lovely beach - so unspoiled, a nice place to be in any capacity: relaxing or exercise...the church window is beautiful in shadow and it has the shape of the cross which is perfect in a house of worship, current or abandoned. Spiritual shadowy art in both venues!

Hello Ms. Molakai...

That's what I called a "Beach". Seeing the scenery reminds me so much some of a nice beaches in the Philippines, Spain, Greece and Australia. Some of the countries I visited. HOw I wish I could visit your beautiful country, once of these days.

Have a blessed Sunday.

Hugs,
/Chie

I love that the former church is still being used for something so wonderful.
The beach scene looks very inviting.
