All Things Mary: Mornings With Mary Day 6

A young mother's grief
Joy of birth, sorrowful death
Is a lot to ask

Welcome!

Join us on this journey of the
twelve days of mornings with Mary.
everyone is invited.
while this is not about religion, it is about sharing,
about opening hearts, rejoicing in ultimate mother love.
it is about  light, beauty, inspiration, thoughtful regard.
a welcome chance to begin each new day together
in beauty and peace.

Come see what others have shared over at Rebecca's page. Feel free to join in with us whether if it's for one day or all 12!

Beautiful old post card. Your haiku is very poignant.

Such a bittersweet Haiku, coupled with the most beautiful vintage picture of Mary...

I was thinking of that just this morning. Imagine being a young woman of 14 or so and having to convince your family that you didn't dishonor them - rather God has visited you with a special honor. What's the likelihood that they'll believe you?

She looks down on us all with such great compassion--and I especially love her non-traditional frame.
