Last Year is Merely a Shadow...

Father Time Waits for No One!

I meant to post this 'last year' and shcedule it to appear this year but, ran out of time and find myself posting this in what was next year and now is this year! Did I loose you? Hope not.
My gosh...2011 is now here. It will be a good year. I believe that with all my heart. As to whether or not all of it is happy, I'm good with any amount of 'happy' that comes my way. Really. I mean that with all my heart.

The New Year was rung in with my husband and some friends present-much of tonight's gathering at my house had several layers of spontaneity to it. That's what made it all the more special! I think we Westerners overplan so many things and forget to leave room for spontaneity. Perhaps it's not unique to Westerners though. I just think that it is.

A few years back, Mark (hubby) gave me an hour glass for Christmas. Not sure why, as I never had a desire to own one, but now that I've owned one, it is a bit unique to have one. And, it came in handy this afternoon in using it as my image for today's SSS!

I raise my glass in toast to all of you out there:

"Here's to the present-and to hell with the past! A health to the future and joy to the last!"

Happy New Year, everybody!

The time of 2010 has passed, a new beginning is in order. Not just for the year of 2011, but for always (as we look to Jesus as a new beginning as well). Therefore, we look ahead and forget most of the bad history of then and use a renewed sense of purpose to move on...

Thank you for that lovely prayer. Even at age 22, we as parents never give up parenting. We hope and pray for the best as they continue. A wonderful and beautiful hope!

Happy New Year to you and yours!

this is a beautiful shadow shot, and how appropriate for this, the first day of a new year. It's a visual reminder that time passes for us all. Happy New Year, and happy SSS!

It does make a splendid shadow shot and is apt and topical at the same time.

With us, all is spontaneous. Whenever we make plans, God changes them anyway.

Have a great New Year!

As long as we get that old year outta the way FAST...and on to the new one, this is gonna be a doozy!

Can't wait to see what the economy does to us small biz owners this year, don't have much left to give, but blood, sweat n tears...but there's always that little twinkle of hope...have a fabu New Year!!!

I've just been too busy to SSS again. I hope I can jump back in next week. I like the hourglass. I've had the little 3 minute egg timer ones, but at three minutes, my soft boiled egges are much too hard. I use the clock on the stove and count to 30 after two minutes have past.
I do like the shadows through the glass.
So, it's this year, is it? It always has been you know, unless it was last year that you talked about it, then it was next year.

Peace.
