You might say I've lost my noodles!
Perhaps one of the most unusual shadow shots I've posted. I was fixing to make a bowl of top ramen noodles one day and one little noodle fell out before the others and spun around in the hot water. Fascinated, off I go for the camera! Kinda kooky to be doing this, but, what a cool little shadow! Click on the image to get a closer look.
Still 'cooking'...
Elephant garlic hanging outside my kitchen door...because it was a handy place to put it when I brought it home. And then, the afternoon sun created this composition for me. The motto is, never be too far from your camera! And, always make sure it is fully charged!
Every week, a group of us from around the world post our shadow shots over at Hey Harriet. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted! You can view all of my 2009 Shadow Shot Sunday images on my Flickr account. Click here and then select the "Shadow Shot" set.

There is always a renegade, an iconoclast who travels to a different drummer. Like ignoring the invisible 'no swimming' signs as he dives into the simmering liquid...The garlic sits awaiting the photographer. Not just full batteries, but space on the memory card, too. A nice view outside the door, and lovely door, too!
Elephant garlic,
hanging outside kitchen door—
pungent your shadow!

I love that little noodle, swimming on its own!!
Hahaha never thought about the shadow of single noodle to be that good. Happy Sunday!

I like the noodle shot..very creative and not only that, but I busted out laughing. Garlic leaf is good too. Amazing where we find shadows..but I have to admit..the noodle takes first prize.
Happy SSS.
You have some very creative, artistic noodles and plants in your kitchen, Paula! Isn't it fun when we find these fun things and all because we've taken up looking for shadows!!! Really fun post for the day! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

What great shots. I to am learning to always have my camera handing, and as for having a full battery...I have been caught out a few times.
Who would have thought that little noodle would be a shadow shot subject.
Well done.
Elephant garlic plus serendipity equals a fun shadow. :)
We shadow shooters are easily amused aren't we...too funny, but we have our cameras at the ready, just in case we lose our noodle!
I usually have a rogue little piece of pasta too, only mine sticks stubbornly to the bottom of the pasta pot. How I wish I could teach mine to swim as daintily as your naughty noodle!
I love your kitchen shadows! The thought of you running for your camera while the lone noodle fries away makes me laugh! I'm glad you did run for your camera!
I've never heard of 'elephant garlic' before...
Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)
ahh ha! that is super Paula - so sorry you "lost your noodles!" We love it - and that it is kooky as well - nice catch...or save!
Love your first shadow - well spotted! I've never heard of elephant garlic - is it huge in size and pungency?
