John J. Mondoy Sings

Yep, here's the birthday boy...the 80 year birthday boy at the party to beat all...

In spite of all the health problems that have come to plague him in his old age, he still looks pretty darned good!

So, it would only be 'normal' for said birthday boy to sing at his own party, right? Remember, although he looks good, he says he feels, 'junk' inside (not the best). But he sang anyway! It's really hard for him to play an instrument now, so he doesn't do this very often. He was born singing and playing instruments. Everyone knows him for his music and his singing. Everyone.

And, so, he sings.

He sings some oldies but goodies. As I pan up to the musicians, know that they are all his sons. My older brother, Robert Mondoy is on the keyboards, brother Pat next to him. Brother Roy Mondoy in front on the guitar (standing), brother Tim Mondoy seated on the chair (guitar) and step brother, Keone Waipa behind him on the bass.

On the third song into this video (so amateur at that-I hope I get better, plus it is unedited) my Dad's younger sister, Florence, joins in. For me, all of this was such a priceless moment!

Now, THAT'S what I call the icing on the cake!
