St. Stephen's Shadows

Step Shadows

Early morning at St. Stephan's Seminary on Oahu (it's not a seminary anymore, but I think the site is still called by this name). The walls and steps are all painted this intense white. How fabulous that it makes for a nice place for shadows to rest each day!

Ti Leaf Shadows

The shadows of these ti leaf plants take center stage. Well deserved place, I'd say!

To my Shadow Shot participant friends: I am still at home on Molokai visiting my family, so it is difficult to get to your sites to comment. I will stop by to see what you are up to, but I hope you understand the 'silence'!

Every week, a group of us from around the world post our shadow shots over at Hey Harriet. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted!

You can view all of my 2009 Shadow Shot Sunday images on my Flickr account. Click here and then select the "Shadow Shot" set.

The stairs is lovely. Reminds my stairs. But you have the sun shine all day long that give you that very crispy shadows. LOVELY.

I like the steps, and how the shadow of the steps is consistent until something breaks the pattern a bit - the landing in the middle, and the railing baluster about three steps up. The symmetry is altered a bit, which makes it all the more artistic and interesting...

The Ti leaves make for a wonderful shadow, perhaps the negative print of a sunburst. It has got be a paradise in the 50th state - lucky you to have your heritage of being from Hawaii!
