...oh, yeah, baby, you know I do!

Simple things like this give me great joy-the time of day, the light of the afternoon sun spilling in through the dining room window, looking at the details of such ordinary objects up close and finding them to be oh so fascinating. Curiously satisfying-much more than a sparkling diamond would be. At least, that's how it is for me. I know many would not agree with this!
The beauty of it all is so fleeting-never to be the same again.
So very wabi-sabi...this beauty that is imperfect, impermanent and incomplete. And, that is how life is. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Come join us every week, as a group of us from around the world post our shadow shots over at Shadow Shot Sunday 2. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted!

I'm with you: I love noticing the little things, the fleeting things that very few others notice.
Shadowy Path
Ah,yes!! I do agree with both you and MMT!! It is indeed the simple, little things in life that can make such a difference!! Have a lovely weekend, Paula!!
A diamond is beautiful, yet its beauty is man-made as the facets must be cut with care to enable its beauty. Nature, on the other hand, offers a perfect beauty that we can never replicate. So we enjoy that beauty without qualification - and we love it! Excellent photos, wonderful sentiments!
I would choose these beauties over gems and money any day. They are precious, fleeting moments. Beautiful, fascinating photos.
the number one picture is great ! I love the fine lacy leaf and its delicate shadow...
Beautiful compositions full of delicacy, delicious colors, exquisite photos!
No wonder why your images look so beautiful - they are, as you write, wabi-sabi. Now I got the name what I try to, try to!, be. Easier when I'm alone and no responsibilities just to take care of daily life and little things.
Happy Sunday!
