It Must Be Magic

"Go With Grace"

"Go With  Grace". That's what I named this photograph I took. Of course, it didn't look like that when I took it-it's gone through some pass-throughs in photo software, but there is such an element of tranquility for me in this image. The statue (believe it or not) lives in a friend's yard up in Angel Fire, NM. OK, that's funny-angel in Angel Fire (sorry!).

MAGIC

We were with some friends having dinner at the Prairie Star Restaurant and I stopped mid sentence to pull my camera out to take this image. I know you all understand this being in the moment thing about shadows-otherwise you wouldn't be a fellow SSS participant! It looks like the glass is floating, doesn't it? Well, it KIND of is. I discovered this cool shadow as I was raising my glass of wine to take a sip! You all know what happened after that!

"Everything that we see is a shadow cast by that which we do not see." (Martin Luther King)

Every week, a group of us from around the world post our shadow shots over at Shadow Shot Sunday 2. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted! You can view all of my 2011 Shadow Shot Sunday images on my Flickr account.

The angel is so approachable that the bird, perhaps a peaceful dove, lands and sits in satisfaction and safety in the palm of one of God's heavenly servants...this table setting is remarkable in its shadowy art - the stemware base leaves a shadow that looks like an eclipse against the sun - with a very cool sunburst at the epicenter. A fabulous capture, a great appertif to a fun dinner!

Peace on Earth... and I loving that.

Whimsical is always like magic, indeed.

Hope you have a great week-end. Happy SSS and hugs from rainy Stockholm,

The little angel is so lovely with the little bird sitting in her hand. The wine glass shot is great as well. I am glad to hear that I am not the only one who stops, at what non-shadows seekers believe to be odd times, to capture a shadow. Many times if you hesitate the shot is lost as shadows fade.
Great Job!!
