Humma Humma Humma Hummingbird High!

Hold on to your horses Babalouie!!

ABC Wednesday is a word meme with participants from around the world. This fabulous meme was created and hosted by Mrs. Denise Nesbitt who hails from Great Britain. Over time, others have joined in to help host this wonderful and informative meme. We are now in our NINTH round! Some of the participants have been with this from the very first round; others have joined in along the way. Each week we are taken across the globe to see the varied and exciting contributions people have taken the time to discover and capture. We start with the letter, "A" and each week we post something in regards to the next letter of the alphabet. This week's letter is, "H".

SAID HUMMINGBIRD FEEDER

"H" as in, you know, humma humma humma hummingbird feeder. Sorry. Now, every time you see a hummingbird feeder, inside your brain you'll be inserting the words, 'humma humma humma' before 'hummingbird'. My friend and I were sitting outside a coffee shop in Jemez, New Mexico and looked up to see this. Can you see the lovely vista past the feeder? Yes, those colors are real-I did not tweak them in Photoshop!!

Ah! Life is good...

HIGH HEELS

(insert the sound of a record player needle scratching across a LP record here)

No, those are not my high heels!! In fact, it is part of a set of Christmas tree ornaments I got years ago. They were just too much to resist! I DO love the ornamentation on the shoe (no pun intended, but there you go).

I hope it's not too hot or humid where you are today and that you hightail it anywhere you can kick up your heels. Have a humdinger of a happy day!

Hoo boy...

I love hummingbirds. Great shoes but I wouldn't want to walk in them.

Gorgeous shoes. Glad they're intended to be decorative and not practical. LOL
And I also love hummingbirds.
Great picks for H day, Paula.

Perfect choices for the letter H. I adore hummingbirds and guess I will be saying Humma Humma Humma now myself.
We both posted about high heeled shoes today, yours tiny for the Christmas tree and mine over 6 feet tall. Love the idea.

I envy everyone who has the luck to be able to feed hummingbirds. I saw some in the wild on a trip to the US and I was totally fascinated.

I use to feed the humma hummingbirds, they were so fun to watch. I would stand by the feeder and they would hover in front of me and look me over.

I love the high heeled shoes so cute.

I was so surprised one year when one of my grade 4 boys chose the hummingbird to do a research study. A tiny little bird with lots of stamina! LOVE LOVE LOVE that shoe! Even if it were a real shoe, I'd never be able to walk in it, though. lol

My daughter - a physics major says that hummingbirds are a science enigma as their wings must beat faster than is scientifically possible! Here's to those beautiful enigmas! And, GREAT photo.

I am so glad those are NOT your high heels or I would start worrying about your very sore feet. :)
