ABC Wednesday is a word meme with participants from around the world. This fabulous meme was created and hosted by Mrs. Denise Nesbitt who hails from Great Britain. Over time, others have joined in to help host this wonderful and informative meme. We are now in our NINTH round! Some of the participants have been with this from the very first round; others have joined in along the way. Each week we are taken across the globe to see the varied and exciting contributions people have taken the time to discover and capture. We start with the letter, "A" and each week we post something in regards to the next letter of the alphabet. This week's letter is, "A".
Adoring Angelic Angel Awaiting
Hmmm....what is the angel awaiting? I'll leave it to you to imagine.
ARTSY ART SIGN ON ART STREET
It was an early Sunday morning and I was dropping off some art at another studio and saw this. If it were open at that time, I would've loved to have gone in to see what it was all about. For now, it will have to remain a mystery to me!
AMERICAS
Yup. That would be North and South America. Of which, some states and countries begin with "A". Alaska. Alabama. Arkansas. Argentina. You get the gist!
'ATROCIOUS ANTS'
I'd rather call them 'adorable ants' but I already used adorable. So, atrocious is the next one that popped into my head! Although....they REALLY are adorable!
ANTIGONE
(image from Wikipedia's site)
Antigone. A tragedy written by Sophocles. High school literature class, right? Greek tragedy is not something I ever favor, but can appreciate. You can find out more about the story line to ths play and the historical context by visiting the Wikipedia link.

These are all great for A and I am guessing many an event that the angel is a awaiting. Artsy signs are fun to spot.
What a fun post for A day. I find the Ants Atrocious, rather than Adorable Also.
Hate ants - getting into the pantry.
But love the Americas and your other grade A choices!

Good stuff, Paula. Oh, yes, I remember Antigone. Agonizing for some of my classmates, as I recall.

Wow, what an eclectic post today.
I love the choices for the letter A.
I think I would like to go into that gallery too and find out what the sculpture is all about.
P.S. the ants are quite arty.
What a great ASSORTMENT of A words for the beginning of a new round. I ACTUALLY do not like ANTS AS they were invading my house this spring! But that is an ADORABLE picture! See you next week!

I guess i never understood art. But your pics speak a lot to me.
May be the angel is awaiting for a savior from petty humans..
Love that art sign.
Please come and see someArt Expression at my page, thanks.
The Adoring Angels and Attrocious Ant are my favourites.
Great "A" selections. I think my favorite was the art sign on Art STreet. Very cool and I too am sorry you couldn't go in.
Great choices for the letter A Paula. I really liked the Art sin too, - quite mystifying.
What a great post for this week. Loved it
Man, I'm still singin' "I heard it through the grapevine"
Another round of alphabet Wednesdays. You did a good job with "A".
Is that art sign in Albuquerque? Hey, Albuqueque starts with "A"!
When I see the angels, I'll let you all know and say goodbye. Nothing yet.
Peace
What a stunningly aesthetic post. I love the choice of images using these wonderful spicy tones. The angel is fantastic - it would make a lovely Christmas card image. I love Antigone, too.
These are truly lovely. I love anything angels. Great picture.

The portrait of Antigone took my breath away. And ants, to me, are adorable when outside, but atrocious when found crawling in my kitchen!
You rock, babe. Amy
