Hither and Yon

Hither and yon is the tall grass...OK, that sounds pretty darned lame! Hither and yon has nothing that I can think of in regards to this post. It is what popped into my head when I uploaded this first image. Shot on the ever so handy dandy cell phone in the 'regular' camera setting, then tweaked in a bit of photo software. This is a very tall grass-nearly as tall as I am. Made for a very feathery shadow, don't you think?

LONG SHADOWS OF THE LATE AFTERNOON...

My husband and I were out driving to an appointment and we were headed directly into the late afternoon sun. I looked down at my wrist and noticed how exaggerated the shadows from the inlaid gems on my bracelet were! They seemed quite cartoonish. I didn't know if the phone could handle close up in a moving vehicle, but it did! I think the shadows look like sentries. Now, that's what I call an afternoon delight!

The tall grasses leave a soft shadow, whether or hot it is hither or yonder. The choice of shadows vs the choice of words - both artistic!

The bracelet is cool on its own, a nice NM motif. The shadows? A bit exaggerated, but therein lies its charms!

Happy July 4!

Feathery shadows are exquisite "creatures."

SHADOW, BE TRUE

My shadow has come out to play.
Oh, shadow, please don’t run away!
Stay here by my side,
Pretend you’re my bride—
Be true to me now and alway!

Amazing phone-photos, Paula. I'm on my third cell phone now and have never figured out how to take pictures other than accidentally. Then I can't see them and have no idea how to get them out of there.
Happy hithering and yonning, if these are the results you get, they're great.

Two excellent shadows - but as a lover of jewellery, my favourite is the second one!
