Please Don't Eat the Forsythia!

Nothing says spring has arrived like the forsythia!

Granted these were taken last month, but everything is still blooming and the trees are still in the process of leafing out. My allergies and the wind tells me that it is springtime! And, there are lots of baby bunnies hopping around (we live near a golf course). I used to tell my son that when they are sitting still, they are busy laying Easter eggs!

It's got ears, but it can't be a rabbit!

Yes, yes...it is a donkey. It is a pretty fun sculpture in an outdoor shopping mall in Sedona. Composed of wire tightly wound together and rusted.

the color and shadows against the color of the concrete wall are fabulous. it all works really well together. I like this photo a lot. and had you not given the clue, I would have thought the donkey ears belonged to a bunny! happy SSS. have a great weekend.

Even the shadows of the forsythia joyfully announce the arrival of spring!

SOME SAY THAT SHADOWS

Some say that shadows are fragments of light,
Others that they are but pieces of night,
Fleeing like demons when dawn becomes day,
Fearing the radiance coming their way.
Is one notion wrong and one notion right?
Just what are shadows if they are not light?

The yellow forsythia sprouts arrived here this week. The feeling of Spring is now visual, the brilliant and sunny hue bringing our spirits up in this wonderful season.

Donkey or bunny, we can take our pick. The whimsical shadow allows us to smile!

Your donkey shadow is a hoot! I'm so envious of you having bunnies running around your place!

Spring sure is lovely but those allergies are not so fun. Enjoy your weekend!

Oh Paula the donkey ShadowShot is too cute!! I know what you mean about Spring and allergies (in AZ). I had to start the hard core allergy meds as soon as I got down to Arizona. Back home in N.Idaho now, so no problem...Snow this morning!!
