Prayers for Japan

Like a Phoenix rising out of the ashes...

(Phoenix on top of a temple in Japan-image from Wikipedia)

Hope and bountiful prayers go out to Japan as they begin the process of recovery from the earthquakes and tsunamis. And, much heartfelt sympathy to the loved ones of those whose lives were cut short so abruptly. I cannot even begin to imagine the sense of loss, the grief, the shock of the events from these past few days. May they find strength, comfort and the courage to put one foot in front of the other as they face each day in the wake of such devastation. Like the phoenix rising from the ashes; rebirth and renewal.

It never seems like you can do enough for those that are faced with what seems to be insurmountable challenges and hardships.

You can always send a donation to the American Red Cross and donate specifically to the disaster in Japan. Keep the prayers coming!

This metaphor is exactly right, Paula. They will survive. And we will share our prayers for them and help in other ways, too. Love

A lot of thoughts and prayers for everyone affected by this disaster. Makes our worker's rights struggles in Wisconsin seem meaningless by comparison.
I have friends in Japan that I met when I was on the Longest Walk three years ago. They are all safe, but overwhelmed at the task of getting back to normal any time soon.
I just noticed the apostrophe between the a and i in Moloka'i and changed my sidebar to reflect that. Sorry if I haven't been observant in the past. Workin' on it.

Peace.
