Greetings From Arizona!

Well, a misleading title, I suppose since as I post this, I am already back in New Mexico!

Anywhere in the Southwest, shadows abound.

Consider this the 'appetizer' of the images I will post in the following weeks from my trip to Arizona this week. Several more courses' will follow!

But, greetings nonetheless!!

This is the moccasin on a bronze sculpture (life sized) in the shopping center in Sedona called, Talaquepaque. It really looks like leather, doesn't it? The beads are real beads though...I really don't think they are bronze too.

"Everything that we see is a shadow cast by that which we do not see." (Martin Luther King)

Every week, a group of us from around the world post our shadow shots over at Hey Harriet. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted! You can view all of my 2010 Shadow Shot Sunday images on my Flickr account. Click here to view them.

Hello Paula! Love this - there is too much movement to think that it isn't leather - fun! Can't wait to see more photos from your trip :)

I can't even imagine you and a camera in Sedona. let alone in Arizona. Can't wait to hear the stories and see the photos. Very much looking forward to it. It's been cold here again and I wish I would have stayed just a couple more weeks. Planning on being back in May with the motorcycle. Love the beaded Mocassin.

Peace

Well that's a rather snazzy looking moccasin with some sweet shadows! Looking forward to hearing more and seeing further photos from your trip!

It's true that the southwest is the place to go for shadows. A bit tricky here in gray Seattle, but we zoom outside quickly when the sun is out. Love the ones on this bronze moccasin.

Wonderfully crafted and colorful item, and I like the way you've photographed it. I'm looking forward the rest of your New Mexico shots.

Very cool photo!! We love Talaquepaque too. Their Christmas light display was always one of my favorites (next to the ZooLights at Phx.Zoo). Happy SSS.
