Did you know that dance is my first love? Now, I call myself a visual artist, but I still dance. I love everything about dance. See a previous post on "Ode to Dance".
So, you can imagine how thrilling it is for me when I can snag an image that seems to represent both of my worlds! I think this was art in a medical building or something. A cell phone snap, for sure. Can't let something this good get by!
Every week, a group of us from around the world post our shadow shots over at Hey Harriet. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted! You can view all of my 2010 Shadow Shot Sunday images on my Flickr account. Click here to view them.

that's awesome...i'm so glad you saw this and that it makes you happy!! that's what it's all about paula...i'lm liking your vibes lately lady!!
The visual artist creates so many things, the variety of visual treats that satisfy the artist and viewer alike.
We tend to think of dance as more of a performing art. But dance stimulates the senses as we look at the dancer, the visual treat we can enjoy as well as if it were created in oils or sculpted. The dancers in this artwork show the human form as a beautiful and artistic endevour.
The artist can be of composed of many talents...
Awesome indeed and since I LOVE to dance I liked it even better. Hope your weekend is off to a great start! I was beginning to wonder where you were! Have a lovely evening!

That is quite a shot of shadow dance.
Wow, that's great, your phone is so crisp, and you seem to see shadows where I wouldn't. Well captured!
Oh I didn't know that dance was your first love! I love dancing but I'm really not very good at it. Far too clumsy! Super shadow shot. The shadows really pop on that bright orange!
what a lovely piece of art, nice shadows too
I too have a secret love of the dance, native dances and the pounding of drums, spirits soaring, but my true love to this ol' romantic is ballet...it makes me cry to see such dedicated, delicate beauty!
Dance on friend!

The dancers
raise their arms with joy,
twirling round.
I love the shot. That phone of yours must have a magic lense, it captures some wonderful images. I liked reading about your enthusiasm for dance. I can totally see you on your toes. Nice photo and nicer thoughts.
Peace.
