How Much is that Shadow in the WIndow?

Store windows in an artsy town makes for much visual happiness, I think. These are from store windows in Santa Fe.

When you think about it, whenever you are in an artsy town, the best sights to see are the store front windows. They are artfully done. It's like being at an all-you-can-eat buffet that has really great food.

Added Bonus

And, the added bonus is that most often, these store front windows have great shadows within them since they are lit for the window contents. Here we have St. Francis with some wonderful wrought iron candelabras.

Every week, a group of us from around the world post our shadow shots over at Hey Harriet. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted! You can view all of my 2010 Shadow Shot Sunday images on my Flickr account. Click here to view them.

These windows offer art with a divine feeling about them. The top display offers the Madonna and the baby King in a pose of love and affection. The monk (I think) is a simple item as he lives simply and spiritually. What great displays!

I like the artsy-fartsy stuff too! What does St.Francis have sticking out of his robe? My eyes might be playing tricks on me again. You've inspired me now. I need to make a trek into downtown Phoenix and see if there are any good storefront windows there. So much of the downtown has disappeared into government office buildings and hotels. :0(

I love these. This is a nice reminder for me to take more notice of window displays when I'm out and about shopping. Now I have that 'doggy in the window' song stuck in my head. Sheesh! Thanks for that! ;)

Have a great week my friend!

All those brilliant colors just speak to me of sunshine and warmth, something that we are severely lacking in my neck of the woods...sigh...

Have a great Sunday, take some pictures!!!
