Our Daily Mary: Day 7

The Virgin Mary every day from  December 1-12th.  Rebecca is hosting this meme. Thanks, Rebecca! If you want to join in, go to her blog and post your link.

(another cell phone photo of that Nativity exhibit at our church)

Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Teach me to value motherhood,
Help me pray for mothers and fathers
To love and support each other.
Show me how God loves you.

Do you ever wonder if Jesus gave his mother grief when he was a teenager? And if he did, I wonder how she dealt with it. If only I could have half of her patience...

Eggshell surrounds are the perfect homes for the Holy Family creating a sort of womb of life.

There were books left out of the Bible because they showed Jesus making mischief, according to my Philosophy of Religion professor.

To be cocooned in love that's what we all want, just as your image depicts.

Thank you,

First of all, you have a fantastic phone to get images like that from it. The photo is great! Tes, not much is written about how Mary might have dealt with a teenage Jesus. I'm sure you are a great Mother, and you WILL get the accolades, be patient.

Peace.

Again, I'm learning so much from all your posts--and I never thought of using an eggshell as a 3D home for Mary and family. I love to speculate about what Jesus might have been as a kid, teen, etc. but since he was fully human, I can't imagine he didn't give his parents grief. As a mom of grown kids and 6 grandkids, I swear to you it will get easier to be a parent, but it could be a very long time. Hang inn there.

Really beautiful. Joseph has such a look of joy on his face and appears so protective of his new family. There is a lot of love in that shell surrounding that little family.
