PINWHEELS
Rather large ones, at that! This was an installation I did on the UNM (Univ. of New Mexico) campus many, many moons ago. The pinwheels are about four feet tall and the stands that they are on are galvanized pipes and the 'wheels' are made of a plastic called 'cintra' that was spray painted and cut to size. I've bee known upon occasion to place these pinwheels in my backyard for fun. They're not good as a permanent display since wind and weather disintegrates them.
POLAROID PRAYING MANTIS
This fun little guy was a cell phone capture as he was hanging outside the door to our local library. And of course, I had to play around with the image even more so and added the Polaroid feature (courtesy free on line photo software called: Picnik. www.picnik.com).
PLYMOUTH
Not where the Pilgrims landed, but in the automobile!
PERSPECTIVE
My husband did a 'study in perspective' with his GoPro HD Motorsports HERO Camera. It's a pretty cool little video camera and he tried it out at what is known as The Rail Yard in Albuquerque. It is a very wide angled lens camera which also does remarkable HD video and time lapse photos. It is housed in an indestructible weather/water proof case and takes amazing images. To see what it can do, be sure to watch all of the video! We are very happy with the camera. You can stick it onto just about anything and his buddy stuck it on to his pair of skis when they were up in Durango a month ago. His video is called, "My Ski's View". We've seen all kinds of applications of this camera and there are a slew of videos done with it on You Tube.

Wow. I am loving me that Plymouth. What kind of mileage you figure it gets? :) And ditto the praying mantis - I love it when they land on the front door and just stare at me (or so I tell myself).
It's been a while since I stopped by. It feels good to be here.

Its always fun to visit your blog.
Wonderful P's - very entertaining posting!
I would have loved to see all those pin-wheels whirling in the wind, wonderful concept. Perspective and meditation on the railyard beautiful film and buildings. Love your creative posts Paula.
Paula, That video is really, really cool. Also the mantis - you came up with very clever "p's." Since I was gone last week I missed your "o" - the oak leaf design is so beautiful as is the opal.
Fancy pinwheels! I use the small ones from the local dollar store or somesuch to spin in the little green spots in my yard. They make me happy! A collector Plymouth - how perfect! The mantis is cool and I see them here occasionally just hanging around. Perspective is terrific. Perfect P's, Paula!
I wonder if my parents owned a Plymouth when i was a kid; that car is VERY familiar...
ROG, ABC Wednesday team
That was a very wide-angled view for a video-camera, no wonder the perspective looks great.
What an amazing place! I'd love to get in there and take pictures, too! Your husband made it look so beautiful and romantic with those sweeping wide-angle views and the music was perfect! Thanks! :)
Beautiful captures of letter P's. Like that Plymouth car too. Happy weekdays!

You have tons of Ps over here and they look good. Perfect perspectives.
These are giant pin mills. Once, my students made them from A4 paper. Other kids who didn't make them, stole them.
Those pinwheels would have been fun to see -- and hear. Some good 'P's
Thanks for visiting. Are you really a rocket scientist??
