No, your eyes are NOT playing tricks on you!
Every week, a group of us from around the world post our shadow shots over at Hey Harriet. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted! You can view all of my 2009 Shadow Shot Sunday images on my Flickr account. Click here and then select the "Shadow Shot" set.
And, let us not forget...
...those who gave their lives while serving in our armed forces. They deserve more than a brief moment of gratitude...

very nice effects...love the colors.
here's to a moment of silence for those who have made the sacrafice...
I love it! What fun!
(In UK we're remembering the evacuation of Dunkirk 70 years ago - we must never forget ...)
what a unique shot - love the colour effects and of course that sideways pot plant is just wild!!
The vase looks great in its vertical motif, the look of artwork that would look nice on any wall.
The red-white-blue is a classic, remembering those who fought valiantly for others than themselves. We cannot forget, the shadow a nice frame for the flag...
what an unusual shot! We too are remembering the fallen, as this is the 70th anniversary of Dunkirk.
That turned out rather cool Paula! It grabs & holds your attentions, that is for sure!
Happy Memorial Day to you as well - and yes, thank & remember all of the soldiers this weekend & always!

And, yes, let us never forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

That's a good idea! It may have been not so good right side up, but turning it sideways gave a whole new perspective!
Great shot, love the colours.
I actually really like the effects of the image! And the weird angle is cool!
Enjoy your Memorial Day long weekend. It's important to reflect upon the past and have a special day dedicated to those brave souls who made such sacrifices.
Better late than never. I've been away over Shadow Shot Sunday this week. So, what is it in that photo?
And thank you for mentioning those that have given the ultimate sacrifice.
Peace.
