10th Annual Park in the Park in Rio Rancho
Park in the Park is a free car show held annually here in Rio Rancho. The stipulation is that your car must be old (by about 30 years I think). It's free to those who come with their cars and free to those who come to see the cars. It's held in one of our city's parks (hence, Park in the Park). People come from everywhere with their cars! I mean, even out of state.
I took a TON of photos at this show, but here's the two I selected for today's meme! There is never a shortage of shadows here in the southwest. Never! Anyway, I found myself taking a lot of shots of hood ornaments at this car show.
My husband, Mark, did a video on this show last year that is on You Tube. I hope you go check it out. I think it's pretty a good production (slight bias, though!). If you like or love old cars, then you'll love the video!

the hood ornaments do make for fun shots...and i agree with the girls...wonderful color as well.
That hood ornament Shadow Shot is very neat!! I keep imagining the best of these Shadow Shots as postcards. They'd sell for sure!
I like old cars now, and because they looked different every year, even when I was little, the uniquely styled details we miss today. Cars are way better today, but they are not nearly as flamboyant these days. The jet comes to mind, 1 '55 Chevy.

Nice shots and the show sounds fun. I much prefer the older cars to the new sleek models of today. The older ones had much more character. Hope you have a great week ahead :)
