...with absolutely no connection at all with the title of this post except for my random free associations. That is what this image prompted me to think of. If anyone sees a connection, let me know! Perhaps many years of deep psychoanalysis might reveal the connection.
And then again, perhaps not.
Although, I'm of my own school of thought that free association's sole purpose doesn't have to be about revealing. I think that at times, it can be totally random and SILLY. We forget how to be silly. Or, maybe we don't really forget, but stop giving ourselves permission to be silly.
If you want to see a master at stream of consciousness, however, go visit Robert Redus' blog. I am always amazed at those of who are able to post something daily.
Now, go forth and be silly!
Every week, a group of us from around the world post our shadow shots over at Hey Harriet. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted!

exactly...go forth and be silly...we need to all do that from time to time.
Oh, yes! I do agree! Go forth and be silly!! That will be my goal for the day, Paula!! I love your shadow shot and even more because it prompted you to write what you did! Have a wonderfully silly, happy, giggly weekend!

Ooh, I really like this--two very different lovely and intricate shadows in the same shot.
I'm afraid I'm one of the goofballs that posts daily...that is if my PC is not acting up.
My lot in life is to find a great punchline to every notion!
Have a wonderful weekend!

That's a beauty right there!
Shadows in the Park
The shadows show a dichotomy of sorts - the man made iron scrolling is pretty, but the curves look designed wit the help of calculus. The natural style of the leaves is self evident, God only can design this beauty. Either way, lovely shadows are the result.
Nice title. Although overshadowed by John and Paul. George Harrison wrote plenty of great songs, especially the title to your post!
Great shot and great title.
I'm renaming this Shadow Shot.
"Bad Hair Day For Fern".
hehe. SOmetimes I'm too silly for my own good. Hope you have a great weekend.
I love your shadows and the title! I struggled trying to find a clever title for my shadow shot, but gave up and went with the obvious!
Beautiful patterns
We saw Crazy Heart yesterday and your blog title fits in so well. Not silly at all!
Love that image & I like the title you've given it. You've inspired me to spend the rest of my day being silly. No, wait! I'll be silly all week! Yeah, that sounds like a good plan. Thanks for the prompt :)
The picture is very pretty and soft..beautiful shadow.
Laughed at the silly part..You know, as a family here, when we get together..nothing but laughs..good for the soul.
Happy SSS.
well, the universe knows things we do not and i first saw this on facebook yesterday (?) while, i kid you not, on the tv was the very song you used as your title - a documentary about the beatles & cirque soleil (is that right? lol!) so maybe, well, i don't know. gentle, graceful, sweeping, weeping, curvy. lovely. love it & your incredible timing.

Go forth and be silly? No problem, gotcha covered!
Beautiful shadow shot...delicate...
I'm sure you know already that we are pretty silly...so we get it - the title makes perfect sence!
Love that soft shadow on that beautiful warm color (if we had a guitar, it would weep for sure!!)
Have a great week Paula!
