Seeing It From Both Sides

It's all about perspective, you know. Not just seeing it from your vantage point, but others too. Because, you never know what you might discover should you take the time to see things from another perspective.

So, pictured above is a detail from the side of a BBQ grill in the picnic area at the White Sands National Park. Cool shadow; how can I resist?

But, take a look on the inside part of this grill and what have we here?

A different perspective. Not bad, not better, but different. There's a good life's lesson here. We shouldn't hold so tight to just one perspective. At least examine others. And, in doing so, you just might make some wonderful discoveries!

Every week, a group of us from around the world post our shadow shots over at Hey Harriet. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted!

This is so befuddling. It looks as if someone dropped part of the alphabet into the grill. I love it - it's really hard to wrap my head around what I'm seeing. Excellent illustration for your post. :)

I like the look of metal - although I would not have figured a BBQ grill. The 'E' looks cool on either frame, the color and reverse like a negative on film. The grill leaves a nice shadow, the horizontal pattern unique. Fill this device with hickory, light it and fine eating will shortly happen!

Very cool--two completely different (and interesting) shadow shots with the same object.

I like your take on this..always good to look at something from more than one perspective.

The shadows you captured on the grill are quite interesting. I like the exterior shot more (not that you asked). ha ha

Happy shadow seeking and Happy Valentine's Day!
