Fractured Flying Fenders

ABC Wednesday is a word meme with participants from around the world. This fabulous meme was created and hosted by Mrs. Denise Nesbitt who hails from Great Britain. We are now in our sixth round-some of the participants have been with this from the very first round; others have joined in along the way. Each week we are taken across the globe to see the varied and exciting contributions people have taken the time to discover and capture. We start with the letter, "A" and each week we post something in regards to the next letter of the alphabet. This week's letter is, "F".

FINGERS

Not quite flying as these fingers are busy learning! My sister's fingers and my niece, Isa. Niece Isa is quite ambitious. She takes gymnastics, plays piano and violin and if she could squeeze in the dance lessons too, she'd be dancing. And, of course, she is an artist.

FOOTPRINT

Curiously enough, Buddha's footprint. I was looking through my book of symbols and meanings and came across Buddha's footprint. In Googling it, I found out MORE fascinating information about footprints and their use as a symbol. Perhaps I've intrigued you enough to check it out!

FIRE

It is still cold across most of the country with another storm making it's way across. Not at all balmy and warm like it is down under! But, perhaps this fire will give you some warmth.

FLAGS

Prayer flags. I don't know about you, but I don't' think there could ever be too many prayer flags. It doesn't matter to me that the religion I practice doesn't employ flags for prayer petitions. I just think it's nice to have as many positive thoughts going out to the Universe as possible.

Oh, and what about the fractured fenders? Well, sometimes my titles don't have much with the content of the post. It's a rare occurrence, but just know that this is one of them. Didn't mean to flabbergast anyone! : )

What a beautiful blog you have! I'll place it on my Blogroll.

My cousin and his family have lived in Albuquerque, NM since 2000. He is a dentist there and loves NM.

I must say that I'm totally unfamiliar with the custom of prayer flags. Learning something new all the time.

On behalf of the ABC Wednesday team, thank you!

Laughing - I did miss the fractured flying fenders. :0 I remember those few years when I tried to learn the piano and failed miserably. And now I'm off to check out footprints.

Fascinating Facts about Footprints - I had no idea they were of such significance in our art/history!

I agree with you about the flags - as far as I'm concerned, any positive energies that are out there affect us all, whether or not you're a believer.

My daughter plays piano and but is gone at college now, so it is fun seeing this picture. Also, my old neighbor used to have prayer flags up at her house. We are two very different women, but with great love and respect for each other. So it reminds me of my wonderful old neighbor. Thanks!

Very nice capture of the fire. Love the shot! This is the first time I've been to your blog. Thanks for sharing. I really like the way you introduce the meme at the beginning. I may adopt the same type of intro if you don't mind.
