Twin Tree Creatures

Dead tree trunks decked out rather artfully at the Harwood Art Center in Albuquerque.

These kind of go with the Tweaked Tree from my previous post! Anyway, I think they're pretty cool looking-a great treatment to something quite ordinary that would be consideration for hauling off to the dump.

Every week, a group of us from around the world post our shadow shots over at Hey Harriet. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted!

You can also view all Shadow Shot postings I've done by scrolling all the way down and on the left side you will see an archive of labels for my posts. Look for Shadow Shot Sunday and click on that link for an "all you can view" buffet of shadow shots!

I love what they did with those trees. Very cool. And the shadows you captured are great.

Wonderful transformation (although I wouldn't dump them even if unadorned)!

Great SSS offering.

Ohhh I'm lovin' it...now I'm lookin' at the big ol' tree stump in my yard with new eyes..hee hee...wonder what my neighbors would think...after all, they are used to my pink house now, right(I think)...HA!

How cool is that? Very imaginative use of tree stumps and I love your shots - very nice indeed! Happy SSS!

What a tree! It seems to have the exaggerated spots of a snake or other reptilian creature. If the photos were grouped even tighter, we viewers could be fooled as to if were ready to coil and strike...

The artist is often able to provide an illusory view that captures our imagination. And you have!

Delightfully kooky patterns on those tree trunks and I like those y-shaped shadows too.

What a fantastic idea to decorate old tree trunks. They look amazing! Very creative shadow shots too! You stumble upon some very interesting & unique art in your parts!

The first one reminds me of a snake, the second of a Komodo Dragon.

Fierce old tree trunks.

Cheers!

Very creative idea. Beautiful artworks they've achieved from something otherwise useless.
Great shadow shots too.
