Why do I like shadows so much? I'm not sure I'll ever know.
I will say that whenever I need a shadow image, I just go to my file named, "Shadows" and cruise through it until I find one that I haven't used yet and pleases me at that moment. It's like going to a restaurant with lots of good things to choose from.
Today I was in the mood for something soft, simple and curvy.
"I'll have the clay jar, please."
Oh, I almost ordered a side of the window rock in Arizona, then thought that I wasn't quite in the mood for it. That would be too much.
Maybe a side of another canoe image from Molokai?
Hmmmm...no, just the clay jar, please.
Every week, a group of us from around the world post our shadow shots over at Hey Harriet. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted!
You can also view all Shadow Shot postings I've done by scrolling all the way down and on the left side you will see an archive of labels for my posts. Look for Shadow Shot Sunday and click on that link for an "all you can view" buffet of shadow shots!

Like my Katydid shot, the shadows at times stop me dead in my tracks...am I that addicted???
Love the warmth of the pottery, good choice!
I think we're all addicted to shadows! I hadn't been out of bed 5 minutes when a spotted a shadow as the sun came up and I was running back downstairs to get my camera!!
I love this one, Paula, but then I love pottery and the shadow is perfect!
Have a great weekend!

I think that shadows fascinate all of us. They can be fun, or mysterious, moody or whimsical. Yours today are lovely.
Well, second demotion to Sweet Repose §;-) much addicted. Never go out without the digcam in hand.
Clay jars? Ah!!! now, I'm having my nostalgi moment again. Clay jars in my country is very helpful. We always have jars like this for our drinking water. Well, am telling you the days when we don't have the electricity in the countryside. Drinking water? asked many huh? Well, that time, no ref no nothing. So, drinking water in a clay jar makes really cold drinking water. Don't ask me why but it do. Nowadays, many young people practices though. Honouring our good poor life.
Thanks for sharing and reminding me of my past.
hugs lot!
A very pretty shadow shot..soft and the clay jar is beautiful.
Happy SSS.
Excellent choice, my dear.
the colours and shadows in this are so subtle and lovely...
This is lovely - she looks like a woman. Yes, I said she - it must be a female jar. Soft, simple and curvy - although we are complicated. :)

The shadows add a subtle complexity to the clay pot. It is as if the artist masked off the shadowy spots carefully and added depth to the piece with another color. This is a perfect example of art for SSS!
this is a very satisfying shot...the colours and curves are perfect for the shadows..
Bold and soft at the same time. Lovely.
Good choice! This is a gorgeous shot of the clay jar. The shadows falling upon it are just perfect! Almost as if they were delicately drizzled on by a master chef! You must have an amazing menu! Fun post! :)
Soft an so lovely. Thanks for sharing :-)
Inside the clay jar,
holy, mysterious worlds—
