I swear this almost made me cry. I must be really hormonal or something! LOL! But just something about that childlike Christmas wonder that is just gone breaks my heart.
Thanks, Deb! We do become a bit jaded about these things when we become adults. You know that the childlike wonder isn't gone. It just got buried beneath responsibility, being what we think is 'mature'. Censored by our inner critic and others. No reason why we can't summon that childlike wonder to come on out from time to time.
Nothing brings it all back like Christmas. The lights and colours, and of course, the gingerbread in this image make me wish I could go back in time, just for a day, even for a moment and relive a part of my childhood as I gazed at the Christmas lights with wonder. I'm so with Debi on this one. xoxo
