I thought it was just April...

Wow...where did the month of April zing off to? It's all a blur. Handed in my research paper on the 12th and just got it back today. The grade was exactly what I thought it would be. For me, doing the paper became a personal triumpth; I learned so much and now I feel as though I am a little bit of an expert in Picasso's life from 1928-1937. So fascinating. Being a "printmaker geek", I had to delve into this time frame of his life when he was prolific in his printmaking output. Next Wednesday is our last class meeting with the final the week after that. I will be relieved to have that done and over with, although I really enjoyed learning and absorbing all that material. The instructor is very good with very high standards. Hard to clear the top of the bar and I suspect that few in our class are able to do that. This Sunday is our Las Semanas meeting. I did crank out a piece this week that I am fond of; a mixed media peice on an 8 X 10 canvas. If I ever get my own website up and running (on my long list of "to dos"), it'll be there. Anyway, I'm rambling. I look forward to meeting with the group just as I look forward to the once a month group meeting for ATC's. Lucky to live in a metro area that has just a vibrant, sharing community of artists!

So what was the grade, Paula? I hope it was an A+!
I can relate to you about discovering art late. All my life I wanted to write music, but it took me until I was in my mid 40s until all the planets lined up for me...since then it's all I want to do in my spare time!
