An Army of Angels

One can never have too many angels, don't you think? Even if it were a large army of angels. That would not be too many in my book. Benevolent. Positive. White Light. Healing. Guardian. Prayerful. Even better if I could surround myself with them. Or, maybe I am and I just don't know it!

This angel lives in our front yard on a faux rock that my husband built. The rock. not the angel. Just want to make that clear. I love the fact that she is in a vigilance of prayer.

And this lacey pattern cast by the bamboo is not far from her. Together each day, they greet the morning sun. Along with the birds.

It's the simple, unadorned things like this in life that bring me quiet and private moments of joy just by bearing witness to it. And, it is then, that I am in the moment as much as I will ever be. And I am filled with gratitude.

Simplicity is one of the greatest gifts.

I agree with your sentiments on angels - God's protectors for us, the amount of kindness they provide are wonderful. In prayer - naturally! The bamboo falls over this angelic presence, adding a cooling shade that allows the angel's prayerful mood no distractions. Too many angels - never!

The bamboo shadows are exquisite--oh, heck, they're just plain sexy!

COMPADRES

Shadows above me,
Shadows below;
Some shadows swift and
Some shadows slow;
All of these shadows,
It’s plain to see,
Are my compadres—
Sweet company!

Your last paragraph about your reflections is very powerful. If I can achieve those moments even occasionally, I feel blessed. The angels do surround you. You feel it, that's why you wrote it. The shadow shot of the angels has a twist to it that I like. Nice work all around.

Peace

The bamboo shadows are so pretty...could be a design on cloth. Yes, I am also grateful...those angels have probably kept us from more harm than we can imagine. Have a great week ahead!
