Curiously Satisfying!

One perfect fall day just a few weeks ago...

A lovely trip up to Santa Fe and up the infamous Canyon Road which is reputed for the door to door art galleries. The sun was warm and lazy. I don't know if was my imagination, but there seemed to be an unusual amount of really cool shadows to be had.

The only regret I have about this swing is not taking the time to sit on it and swing! What's WRONG with me??? No, better to leave that as a rhetorical question!

Skinny little tree trunks trying to out do the carpet of cottonwood leaves.

Doesn't that sunlight make you feel languid and lazy?

Every week, a group of us from around the world post our shadow shots over at Hey Harriet. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted!

You can also view all Shadow Shot postings I've done by scrolling all the way down and on the left side you will see an archive of labels for my posts. Look for Shadow Shot Sunday and click on that link for an "all you can view" buffet of shadow shots!

  2. The railing and posts offer a glorious light on the dark porch. A dichotomy of dark and dazzling lighting!

The tree trunks are more subtle. The leafy carpet is colorful, the faded shadows a nice accent.

The horse looks alive, his shadow leaving us a stronger look of motion of the 'equine' (which I assume to be art, although I am unable to say with certainty...)

We hear of Santa Fe to be of artisans. You have given us a look into an area complete with artistry!

  5. Beautiful shadow shots ... .
Canyon Road does still have a certain appeal. I find it best to stroll
VERY early in the morning, before any shops are open or tourist trolleys are clogging the road.

  11. When you stumble upon a swing you must always stop to have a play on it. Silly! You'll know for next time ;) I really like the horse and his shadow. I was feeling languid and lazy before even visiting here, so now there's no chance of snapping out of it...hehe

  14. Love these and yes, indeed, next time be sure to swing! I'm quite taken with the shadows across the cottonwood leaves - it feels warm like fall with cold in the air coming at me fast.
