Blissful Bantering While Banging on Bongos

ABC Wednesday is a word meme with participants from around the world. This fabulous meme was created and hosted by Mrs. Denise Nesbitt who hails from Great Britain. Over time, others have joined in to help host this wonderful and informative meme. We are now in our NINTH round! Some of the participants have been with this from the very first round; others have joined in along the way. Each week we are taken across the globe to see the varied and exciting contributions people have taken the time to discover and capture. We start with the letter, "A" and each week we post something in regards to the next letter of the alphabet. This week's letter is, "B".

BELL ROCK, SEDONA AZ

An iconic landmark to Sedona, AZ is the well known Bell Rock.

BLINGY BEADED BAG

BANGING ON BONGOS
(if you had bongos to bang on,
but if all you have are congas, then beat away!)

Looks like his shirt has some sort of "B" word on it too, huh? can't make it out though...

addendum on this post after I posted:

The teacher in our class referred to these as bongos and I don't think the musician realized that it was being called bongos. So, although I've posted these as bongos, I stand corrected as they truly are congas. I will leave it as is and you can pretend that they are bongos!

BIG BODACIOUS BOULDERS

Not too much blathering from me today (aren't you lucky?)...I'll leave the bantering to others and practice being blissful instead.  ; )

Mr. Bennett bought the lot next door to the house that I grew up in. He and his wife built a beautiful house there. Although I was already grown up and gone when he did this, I knew of him because he was a school teacher like my mom. And, he did pottery. Mom  had bought some pottery from him over the years. My favorite was a butter dish. I have collected some of his pottery over the years and when I was home in Jan. 2010, I paid a visit to his studio for he first time. We had a great visit. He let me video his stuff (sorry it's so shaky-I wasn't familiar with the camera) I bought more pottery from him (of course). And, the next time I go home, I'll be buying pottery from him again.

B is also for Mr. Bennett! You know, I could be wrong, but I think the drums were either congas or djembes... sorry... but there you go, find out and you can use them again for C and D!! This was a cute one, Paula. Here's a fun one from me to you. Amy

  2. Amy-I stand corrected and they are congas. Tweaked the post to reflect that. Shouldn't have taken the teacher's word for it (it was a salsa aerobics class at the gym-not a music teacher or anything).

  18. Ah, the beautiful Bell Rock. And nothing can beat a blingy bag and a brace of bongos (or congas). The stacked rocks are so appealing to those of us who love rocks of all sizes and shapes. The pottery is superb. What style this potter has!
