If The Shoe Fits...

Shoes being prepared for a Santa Fe Opera performance of Rigoletto © Paula Scott Molokai Girl Studio

If these shoes could dance...oh, but they have! If these shoes could sing...seems they've done that too. But, don't be fooled-these shoes aren't meant for walking! They are meant to strut about on one of the greatest stages in the world-the Santa Fe Opera. Note, though, that they are not shiny and new in appearance, but intentionally aged and given a much worn look. That is the cool thing about the arts-especially the performing arts since they require every aspect of art in order to make it happen. If you live here in NM, make it a point to at least take a backstage tour-it will be well worth the $10 you'll spend!

Join us as a group of us (yes-there are many of us!) from around the world post our shadow shots over at Shadow Shot Sunday 2. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted!

That's a sight I have never seen. So much creative patience must go into producing this artwork.

I would love to take that backstage tour if I ever get out your way. The photo is fabulous.

These shoes weren't made for walking of sure! I like how the artist adds wear and patina to these, adding a true look of what 'real' shoes might look like. Cool!

Seems a shame to take something new and age it prematurely. Maybe, of course, I'm referring obliquely to my own body!
