Hello Silence My Old Friend

Someone sent me a surprise in the mail recently-talk about that person practicing random acts of kindness (and generosity). I was thrilled to receive this 'Be' rock-one that I had coveted but did not know where to get my very own. So, thank, you Robin for such a wonderful gift! You see, Robin and I are both disciples in practicing the art of just being.

Being in the moment-how elusive that can really be. It is something that one has to do mindfully. And know that you aren't ever going to be 'perfect' about always being n the moment. It requires learning how to access that inner silence that exists within all of us, for the noise of life sits atop our inner silence. It's the accessibility or lack thereof, that can be a source of frustration. You can't just hope to access your inner silence. It is a mindful and daily practice that requires that you slow down your body. When you do, the mind follows. And, don't forget to breathe-for it is in breathwork that gives us that one singular thing to focus on and allows us to slow down. It is one of the best gifts you can give to yourself each and every day. Your heart will thank you for it, you spirit will thank you for it and so will your body.

You can't just hope that you will stop and smell the roses. You just have to do it and just be there in that moment-fully embracing it with all of your senses.

And for all the Mothers out there-Happy Mother's Day!

The art of living by 'just being' is likely lost on most - as if we need to plan every last activity in our lives. Yet we can easily let the course of our lives just take its own path and we can just take that ride and let thins 'just be'...
