Penny For Your Thoughts

"A Penny For Your Thoughts" © Paula Scott Molokai Girl Studio

I'm pretty certain that this leaf shadow shot will be amongst my top favorites that I've taken. As some of you know, I am a bit fond of using my cell phone camera. Comes in handy when you're out for a walk and see something that you have to have a photo of. This leaf did that for me-along with the shadow cast by the ragged edges of it. I did do some photo editing-but it was all done in my cell phone. I like to challenge myself and (I know this sounds odd), sometimes right before I settle into bed at night, I pick up my cell phone, choose an image and edit it on my phone. Sort of like having a nightcap, you know. I don't spend too much time doing it-part of the challenge, you see.

This one was amongst the bunch I took to create last week's New Year's Greeting 'card'. Again, taken on my trusty Android cell phone. It handles macro shots very well, thank you!

On the way home tonight from a meeting, I had to stop and take this one (one lane road-no one was behind me-but I only got one chance since as soon as I took one shot, a car appeared behind me). The evening light was just perfect on the Sandia Mountain. Remember that Happiness Jar I talked about last week? I started one. And, it was this last image that I will write down as to what made me happy today.

Join us as a group of us (yes-there are many of us!) from around the world post our shadow shots over at Shadow Shot Sunday 2. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted!

The ragged edges on the leaf make perfect shadows in that light. Glad you had your cell phone with you!

I can understand the leaf becoming your favourite photo. It is great. I also think the photo of the mountain with it bathed in light at the summit to be something special also. Great shadows
