Understanding Creative Thinking and the Act of Being Creative

Imagine that. Finally, scientists have really studied what a creative minds looks like, or perhaps more accurately, how a creative mind works on a neurological level. The Scientific American published an article discussing this just last year.

The Huffington Post just published a post about the 18 things things that creative people do differently. A pretty interesting article for me as I did a self check in regards to that list. I was very pleased to see that I do indeed engage in those behaviors (and darned proud of it, I say!). Check it out to see how you do. I'll bet you'll do better than you think. So, there, you are creative!

I think being able to look at an image and see it from different perspectives is a good way to stay in 'creative shape'.

Hence the following images:

A nice little vignette in the window-'as is'.

A filter offers for a bit of alteration (love that my cell phone can do this!)

Or, perhaps you'll like this alteration better?

Or, perhaps viewing it from a different angle?

I know which version I like. Can you guess which one it is?

Come join us every week, as a group of us from around the world post our shadow shots over at Shadow Shot Sunday 2. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted!

no guessing, but I really like the 2nd image the best, yet I like the ladder-like shadow in the last image.

An artist has a creative streak in any medium, photo art included. What impresses me about such creativity is that artists are not static, they allow their creative impulses to run wild or subtle in an effort to expand their horizons. Original or artistically altered, these views within views are all so nice. A beautiful mosaic of lovely window scenery...

It's good to be creative, especially gazing through a cameralense to capture perspective. I think you like the last one best, and so do I ;)

Hi Paula, the days when one can choose one option are the easy days - most days I just love them all as I can see such beauty and potential in each alteration - those are the days that it is not so easy to be creative! it takes the entire brain to be creative - no wonder it is so exhausting at times!!
