"X" Marks The Spot!

The Tamaya Hyatt Hotel just north of us has a beautiful outdoor courtyard built just for outdoor weddings. If I were a bride to be, I'd certainly consider having my wedding here in this incredibly romantic setting! But, I am far from being a bride to be-in fact, this week marks the week that my husband and I started dating each other 30 years ago. How the time does fly by!

We were here about a month or so ago for a drink and appetizers as the view of the Sandia mountain is spectacular from their patio and bar area.  When we were done, we walked the property (which is drop dead gorgeous) and explored this courtyard area while we were at it. Extra bonus for ME since this incredible "X" shadow was there for the taking! And yes, the sunlight here does have that golden quality to it. I think that is the reason so many artists live in this state-the light is unparalleled.

Admittedly, we are a wee bit tired of having just too much sunshine. Still waiting for rain. As I write this, there is a smell of moisture in the air, but I'm afraid it is just a tease. We really want the skies to open up on us!

And for your entertaining pleasure a cool dance video with shadows galore. Have a safe week, everyone!

Come join us every week, as a group of us from around the world post our shadow shots over at Shadow Shot Sunday 2. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted!

'X' does mark the spot: sun, shadow and adobe make for a beautiful spot fora respite from the urban hustle. The spot for that first dance...wonderfully captured!

What a fabulous find, a magic lantern that seems to be casting shadows into the golden light - which, as you say, is unmatched in your area.

Wish I could send you some of our rain. We've had 6 inches in two days. It's positively squelchy outside.
