Some New Year Toasts

A toast to everyone as you celebrate the
end of a year and welcome in the new one:

"Here's to the present-and to hell with the past!
A health to the future and JOY to the last!"

(author unknown)

"Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring happy bells across the snow;
the year is going, let him go."

-Alfred Lloyd Tennyson

And, some wonderful quotes from Brain over at The StoryPeople to take with you in to the new year:

"Everything changed the day she figured out there was exactly enough time for the important things in her life."

"I've always liked the time before dawn because there's no one around to remind me who I'm supposed to be, so it's easier to remember who I am."

"If you hold on to the handle, she said, it's easier to maintain the illusion of control. But it's more fun if you just let the wind carry you."

"Anyone can slay a dragon, he told me, but try waking up every morning & loving the world all over again. That's what takes a real hero."

So, know that 1) there is enough time to do everything important, 2) remember who you are, 3) let the wind carry you and 4) keep on loving the world all over each and every day."

(curious about the image? They are two photos overlaid over the other, both taken on my cell phone and then edited in picmonkey where I did the cropping, overlay, the text, the frame and the embellishments)
