REM With Dreamy Shadows

What's better than one cell phone camera ap?

Two, of course!

If you have an Android or an iPhone and you don't use your cell phone camera everyday....well...all I can say is-are you outta your mind??

It's easy peasy to use. And, you can use it everywhere you are. In this case, I was up at Santa Fe (yes, again-hey it's only a 50 minute drive from my doorway) with some time to kill for an appointment. I was at the La Posada Hotel which has some very lovely grounds by way of landscape and architecture. So, I walked the property admiring the beautiful peonies and roses and everything else that was in full bloom. Lo and behold (it doesn't take long), there are shadows begging me to take them.

Let me backup a bit. I take a lot of images on a cell phone camera ap called Retro Camera. If you have an Android or an iPhone, you can download it for free. I have an Android. An 'old' one at that. It's the first version of T-Mobile's My Touch phone (3G). I've had this phone for over 4 years now, so, by way of cell phones, it's an 'antique'! There are 5 different camera styles in the Retro Camera phone ap. This past week, I downloaded another cell phone camera ap called, "Lomo". It has 6 different camera styles. One of which, is called, 'dream'. "Lomo" is also a free cell phone camera ap. So, it is the Lomo Dream ap that I used for these photos.

So, I took this image with the Retro camera ap and it was nice. Then, I decided to take it again with the new ap using the 'dream' mode.

WHOA!!!

I was quite pleased.

It takes the ordinary and elevates it to the extraordinary.

And, you have to admit. It does have a dreamy feel.

Now you can dream about shadows and what is next to come.

Sweet REM!

And then, there is 'Snapseed'. I don't know if I dare tell you about that.

"Everything that we see is a shadow cast by that which we do not see." (Martin Luther King)

Every week, a group of us from around the world post our shadow shots over at Shadow Shot Sunday 2. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted! You can view all of my 2011 Shadow Shot Sunday images on my Flickr account. Click here to view them.

This is like awaking from REM sleep - the colors and patterns leave a dreamy vision - waking from a very good dream! Santa Fe, some year - it looks that beautiful in your travelogue!

Oh wow. Now I want an iPhone.

Santa Fe is prime shadow hunting-grounds, for sure. I hope to go back again one day.

I do love your dreamy shadow shots, too, Paula! Unfortunately -- for me, probably, but I hate phones of any kind and have/use one only for emergencies! Awesome captures, though!! Have a fun weekend!

Okay....now I'm confused a bit [I'm really blond under the gray roots] Anyway, you take a picture with the ap and then use the photo of the same to work it with another ap? I'd like to try it.

None the less, I LOVE your images.

I love the dreamy look of your photos today!

I've gotten quite fond of using my phone and various apps to play with the photos. I have an iPhone and my favorite app to use is called Camera+.
