I Wonder As I Wander

The Mediterranean Room at the
Botanical Gardens in Albuquerque

Provides TONS of shadows on any given day-be it rainy, cloudy or sunny! If only they had a hammock or a couch in here so that I could take a short afternoon siesta!

One can only dream...

MANNEQUIN IN THE WINDOW

Cool store. Cool mannequin. Really funky (yet cool) clothes. It was a Sunday morning. They were closed. Near Pioneer Square in Seattle, circa 2006. Blast from the past!

"Everything that we see is a shadow cast by that which we do not see." (Martin Luther King)

Every week, a group of us from around the world post our shadow shots over at Shadow Shot Sunday 2. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted! You can view all of my 2011 Shadow Shot Sunday images on my Flickr account. Click here to view them.

Here's a video that has some cool shadows in it too:

In these botanic gardens, we see that God's beauty is unlimited. And the mannequin almost feels alive. Perhaps the funky designs and floppy straw hat give it real authenticity. Eclectic is a good description!

The house in the video was simple, designed to protect us from the elements. It looked as if it had been lives fairly recently - a lone houses with no people but possessions is erie, sad and fills us with questions - the shadows show us that life once abounded...

A great idea to provide a video of shadows! So love the inside of the old building with the torn material fluttering before the broken window glass! Very moving! And beautiful photos too! Adore the quietly dreaming mannequin!

Back again! I have added your video to the shadow video collection - tab at top of SSS2 page - with a link to your post here!

These are great shadow shots. I missed the whole change from the old SSS. I haven't been involved with this meme since sometime in October 2011. Glad I found the new Shadow Shot Sunday 2 site. Good to be back in the action.

Yes, we were on the same page there with the aquarium and arboretum. The mannequin window is very cool too. Your video is eerie and even sad. Who took off leaving their child's toys behind? Surely vandals did so much of the damage. SO much left to the imagination. Hoping your weekend is good. X-Cassie
