I Spy a Shadow!

Bigger than life these shadows are...

It's amazing I get anything done since I am easily derailed by shadows like these on my front sidewalk. I was supposed to be doing something else when I walked by these. And, as I've said before, shadows wait for no one. They are to be seized in the moment.

These are all within 10 feet of each other. Have you every seen those books called, "I Spy"? Some of the objects in that book contain shadows with the same qualities as these-larger than life kind of thing. They look humongous, don't they?

Every week, a group of us from around the world post our shadow shots over at Hey Harriet. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted! You can view all of my 2010 Shadow Shot Sunday images on my Flickr account. Click here to view them.

What delightful shadow shots for the day, Paula! I do hope it is warmer and sunnier where you are than it is in Seattle! We're supposed to have sun, but who knows???? Enjoy your weekend!

The fallen cluster of leafs seem insignificant to many, forgotten as the past. However, the intrepid photo-artist will take note of (and capture) the shadow that is nearly as impressive as the fallen flora. There is always more than meets the eye!

Sidewalk litter makes lovely shadows!

EVERYWHERE SHADOWS

Shadows above and shadows below,
Shadows that blaze and shadows that glow;
Shadows outside and shadows indoors,
Shadows on trees and shadows on floors;
Everywhere shadows calling my name,
Everywhere shadows no one can tame.

They are very fun shadows...and we think they would make a great photo wall!
