12 Days of Mary: Day 4

"it's not about religion, it is about sharing" (Rebecca Brooks)

(Mary at a grave site in Magdelena, NM)

Holy Mary, Mother of God

today marks the fourth day of december;
this being day four of twelve days of mornings with mary.
everyone is invited.
while this is not about religion, it is about sharing,
about opening hearts, rejoicing in ultimate mother love.
it is about  light, beauty, inspiration, thoughtful regard.
a welcome chance to begin each new day together
in beauty and peace.

Come see what others have shared over at Rebecca's page. Feel free to join in with us whether if it's for one day or all 12!

When I was in Taos last september, I stopped at a couple of very colorful cemeterys along the highway. There were so many images of mary, mostly in the form of Our Lady of guadalupe, but also many in the robin's egg blue robe. I got a sense that so many believe that she will protect and heal and guide even those that have passed. The statue in your photo is a beautiful image as well.

Peace

I know this is at an actual grave site, but the background is so mystical to me--shimmery, and the black fence is shimmery, too. Beautiful.

I do like your Mary the background to this image struck me too, the wavy black fence merges lovely with the greens and sand.

Although the elements have attacked her, she has not retaliated! :)
