Totally Tiltillating Tactile Textures!

ABC Wednesday is a word meme with participants from around the world. This fabulous meme was created and hosted by Mrs. Denise Nesbitt who hails from Great Britain. Over time, others have joined in to help host this wonderful and informative meme. We are now in our EIGHTH round! Some of the participants have been with this from the very first round; others have joined in along the way. Each week we are taken across the globe to see the varied and exciting contributions people have taken the time to discover and capture. We start with the letter, "A" and each week we post something in regards to the next letter of the alphabet. This week's letter is, "T".

Tree Trunk

This "T" post is totally about my love for textures. Just think of it as a tribute. Pure and simple.

Gosh, I took this image a while back and now I forget what it was! I think it was a wall of some sort made from an unusual materiel. We'll just have to make up our own stories to anyone who will listen.

Macro shot of a rusty and old surface.

And, another macro shot, but this time of a surface from my artwork. Mostly acrylic as far as what medium it is.

The third annual auction to benefit the Oaxaca Street Children is about to take place. All proceeds raised for this auction benefit the street children of Oaxaca. Please visit my Molokai Girl Studio blog to find out more about this auction. Share it on Face Book. Tell all your friends and anyone else who will listen! Viewing starts June1st. Auction begins June 5th and ends June 12th.

A superb tribute to textures. Amazing selection. Each of the photos strikes a chord and creates a wonderful eyeful and a yearn to touch.

Terrific take on the letter T, Paula. I, too, love the tree trunks, and when I look at your acrylic I see a swan wearing a huge summer hat. I love it (I love large summer hats.)

Interesting take on the T. I also see a duck or as someone else said a swan in your acrylic.

I love the rusty surface photo. If you hadn't told me, i would take it as some very good abstract art. In a way, it is, nature has a way of doing that.
That unidentified one looks like upholstered buttons.
I love the trees and anything to do with them.
Can't wait for ther auction. I linked the info on FB!

Peace

Thanks for showing the various textures. You could start a competitions by showing macro photos of textures and have bloggers guess what they actually represent.

That is a wonderful piece of rust. Lots of texture to this post, great captures.
The shrine idea is so imaginative, as is your contribution, what a treat to open the door, hope lots of money is raised.
