Fit to be a Shadow

Sometimes, when you title something, the obvious is best: "Cat basking in sun"

That's Rocky, our cat. Or, I should say, my husband's cat. He won't tell you how much he loves this kitty! Oh, no...but he does like to point out that I'm the one who brought him into our home. A back-handed thank you, I think!

And, here's something you see yearly:

No, not the shadow of the glasses, but the article that it rests on. At the start of each year, you are bombarded by TV, newspapers, magazines, radio, etc. in regards to how to get in shape and loose weight. As the Pooh Bear would say, "Oh, bother!"

Aptly enough, though, this one was captured on the way to the gym:

Every week, a group of us from around the world post our shadow shots over at Hey Harriet. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted! You can view all of my 2010 Shadow Shot Sunday images on my Flickr account. Click here to view them.

The cat looks like he's in the spotlight on stage! Very cool :-)

The kitty appears to be of the same attitude in subject and shadow. Although it is an act, the cat really is a softie, and not just his fur...

The newspaper is being thoroughly investigated now, the glasses must be removed from time to time to relax and take in the information gathered.

The traffic seems daunting, but the line of shadows is artistic I'd say. Nice captures of the ordinary - with great shadows!

Such a beautiful cat and what a proud shadow he creates! Have to agree with Robin -- slim fast now, but how quickly we tire of that!! Great post for the day as always! Hope your weekend is off to a great start, Paula!

we share the life of "artist mother of one son" and don't they share the same birthday or name? (i think we are the same-ish age, and my memory again fails me!!!)
today i discover that our cats are identical, probably some freak separated at birth story cat story.
our parallel life continues to grow!!

I'm surprised anyone claims to own the cat, as usually cats are the ones in charge. :) (I'm a cat lover!)

I agree with Pooh about January exercise advertising. "Oh, bother!" really sums it up.
And your cat is like our dog. I wanted a dog, but Lindy loves my husband best, and he is a doting daddy.
Beautiful photo of the cat, and nice shadow from the glasses on the newspaper.

Rocky is a very handsome looking cat! I'm sure your hubby adores him and gives him big squishy cuddles when you're not looking!

Oh I'm so over those adds! I just switch off from them now. At least you're going to the gym! Good for you! Do an extra workout for me while you're there. So I can eat an extra bowl of icecream :)

Love all your shadows too!

"Cat Serves Time for not Working out" That would be our title to fit in with the being fit stuff :) Hope all is well and the New Year is treating you well this week!!

Great cat shot! All that traffic on the way to the gym would be reason enough for me to turn around ;)
