Our Daily Mary: Day 4

The Virgin Mary every day from  December 1-12th.  Rebecca is hosting this meme. Thanks, Rebecca! If you want to join in, go to her blog and post your link.

(photo taken at a grave in the cemetery of Magdalena, NM)

In my darkest hours, I have prayed to her to help me. When I thought I could no longer hang on to anything else, I felt her hand take mine and lead the way through a chasm of tears and grief. I have felt her consoling arms wrap around me, giving me the strength to keep on moving forward, facing each day. So many times, she has helped me put one foot in front of the other. I hear her voice within me helping me to sort out the cloudy confusion.

She is there. For me. For you. For anyone who needs her. She is our mother. And, she is the mother of our Lord. Our Lady of Grace, Compassion, Peace, Love, Joy, Sorrow...she knows all of those things and more.

You are not alone. This journey makes us one.

Beautiful, Paula. What an unexpected standout in a cemetary. I'm encouraged to linger in New Mexico and explore the old cemetaries there for more like this.
