Arachnophobics-Don't Look!!

I admit it. I am a wee bit arachnophobic! Which my husband finds that to be very humorous, considering I grew up in Hawaii. He calls that the land of spiders.

However, I was cleaning up his office area the other week and saw this creature on the picture of me. Is that not ironic? I mean, there were other photos in the same area that this one was in. Why me?. I got the nerve up to take this shot as my love of shadow chasing is enough to want a shadow of a spider (and I am shuddering here as I type this just thinking about that eight legged creature).

Chili Ristra in Truth or Consequences, NM

Oh, this was just too easy and fun! Bright morning sun on a turquoise wall with a red chili ristra. You gotta have fun with something like this! Many have been there, done that (this kind of shot). Now I can say I've done it too! This one's for you, Joe!  ; )

Wow, great shadows! How close were you to that thing? I got bit a few years ago and ended up in the hospital a few days after in Phoenix. What an ordeal!
Not sure if I'll do a Shadow Shot. I might have two posts like you did today. Good job. I love the Ristra. One year I brought 24 ristras back home in the back of a station wagon. We stayed in a motel on the journey, and when we got intomthe car the next morning, oiur eyes teared up and we caoughed up a lung! Should have had a pickup truck or at least a convertable!
Thankls for T or C. I'm missing it. a foot or more of snow followed by extreme cold forma coiuple of days. I'm ready to leave, NOW!

Peace.

These are both fantastic, Paula! Love the spider on your picture! And what a huge one! Thank goodness it was on your photograph and not on you!!! Terrific! And the other shot for the day is so colorful and so cheerful -- just what I needed to start another gray, gloomy day here in the northwest! Hope you have a terrific weekend -- with NO spiders!!

Good morning Paula. I haven't contributed to Shadows Shots in a while. I'll have to start looking again. I'm going to shadow hug a wreath too!

Still, spiders can weave webs that trap true pests. Even if it seems that this pair of arachnids may be taunting you...On balance, I like spiders and will work to shoo them away (alas, not the actions of our cat Linus...)

The wreath seems to be an offering to Gog, the hands appearing to raise it high. Well, not to be too serious as you say, shadows can and ought to be fun, Nice captures!

Spider, spider, casting blight
On my photo day and night,
Who will be the one to see
You swept to eternity?

Oh man, both these ShadowShots are so good. The spindly Mr.Spider is very cool, though I'm not fond of one crawling on me (or my effigy). I actually just bought a stained glass and cabachon spider as a gift for the daughter. I should try to photograph it b4 wrapping it for Christmas. The wreath shot is great. Did you take that picture with your toes?! hehe. Blessings.

This are the best shots I came across so far in my morning SSS tour.

07.03am in Sweden with a temp of -7.8degress below -0. Freezing but I can't sleep. I was awake 5am.

Have a great Sunday P! and a nice 3rd Advent.

I have saved up your 12 Marys for a one morning read, but must stop one Mary in and tell you how much I loved this. How much it made me smile. (No fear of spiders + a love for shadows = really, I love this.)

I'm on a SSS tour and this was the first to catch my eye. Sometimes I see a photo and wish I had taken it, and this is one of those photos.

That spider really liked your photo I guess!

And he left an awesome shadow.

I like the vibrant colors of the second shadow shot.
